Interview with three times Gold Cup winning trainer

As discussed, I am continuing to work on the forthcoming edition of One Jump Ahead, in between trips to Hamilton and Thirsk for Racing TV. I am very pleased to say it will include an interview with triple Cheltenham Gold Cup winning trainer Henrietta Knight, who I spoke to on Wednesday. Responsible for 7 Cheltenham Festival winners, Hen trained over 700 winners during her career and was assciated with some top-class horses including Best Mate, Edredon Bleu and one of my favourites Somersby. 

In recent years, Hen has been schooling and preparing horses - indeed, she had 192 horses through her hands at West Lockinge Farm near Wantage during the last twelve months. She has also joined forces with owner Mike Grech, who previously had horses in partnership with Stuart Parkin. Big spending Grech purchased some exciting young horses earlier this year and they are now in training with Gordon Elliott, Nicky Henderson and Joseph O'Brien. Hen has given her views on the string, plus a couple of potentially smart bumper horses who have yet to run. She described one four year old as 'a bit special.'
