Interview with Ed Walker

Ed Walker learned his trade as assistant to Luca Cumani and the 38 year old has developed into a fine trainer in his own right. Agrotera provided the Lambourn based handler with his first Royal Ascot winner when making a mockery of her rating of 88 in the Sandringham Handicap in 2018. Ed has assembled a strong team for the 2021 meeting and I am delighted to announce that the Royal Ascot Update will include an interview. I spoke to Ed on Wednesday afternoon and he kindly pass on his thoughts on a team of around 8 or 9 horses, including the exciting Starman who is ante-post favourite for the Group 1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes. He also has some very interesting runners in the handicaps. Ed's 23 winners in 2021 include three Pattern winners.
