Truckers Lodge (advised @ 10/1) wins the Midlands National

Truckers Lodge, advised at 10/1 in the Cheltenham Festival Update, rounded off a terrific week for followers of One Jump Ahead by winning the Midlands National. Paul Nicholls' gelding hadn't been seen since finishing runner-up in the Welsh National having missed the Grand National Trial at Haydock due to a cut. Partnered by Lorcan Williams, the eight year old who was having only his fifth run over fences, raced prominently and jumped beautifully. Taking over soon after the third last, he never gave his backers an anxious moment crossing the line eighteen lengths in front of the runner-up Captain Drake.

Thank you to all those clients who have emailed since, it has been a great few days. Weather permitting, I am working at Carlisle on Sunday and then who knows what is going to happen next week re the Coronavirus. I will be back to update the Diary early next week and will be cracking on with the forthcoming edition of Ahead On The Flat, which is due to be published in early April.
