Top 40 Prospects winner Emissary (100/30)

Emissary provided the Top 40 Prospects in Ahead On The Flat with its second winner in as many days when capturing a competitive small field handicap at Yarmouth on Tuesday. Hugo Palmer's colt had been highly tried during the summer with the Epsom Derby coming much too soon in his career. Disappointing at Newmarket last time, the half-brother to Workforce was fitted with a visor for the first time at the East Anglian track and given a positive front running ride by James Doyle. The Khalid Abdulla owned colt showed what he is capable of with a convincing two and three quarters of a length win from Royal Ascot runner-up Tritonic. It remains to be seen whether the headgear will have the same effect next time but it was a big step forward from his last couple of outings.
