Ahead On The Flat gone to the printers

Having spent most of Wednesday morning at the printers adding the final touches, I am delighted to say this year's edition of Ahead On The Flat has been completed. It will be now go to the print and the plan is for it to be published the week starting the 12th April - unfortunately, the timing of Easter this year isn't ideal with the printers closed from Thursday evening through till Tuesday morning next week.

The Publications section of the site is due to be updated by my web designer on Thursday afternoon, so clients will be able to order Ahead On The Flat, plus the 3 Updates for the 2021 Flat season. The prices remain the same - Ahead On The Flat £10.99 and AOTF & the Updates £28.99.

It is also possible to order the Aintree Grand National Update, which will be emailed to clients on Tuesday 6th April. The Update is £6.00.

In terms of the action, No Risk Des Flos (2/1) was highlighted as an unraced horse to follow in One Jump Ahead and Olly Murphy's lightly raced gelding is developing into an above average performer. An expensive store (€200,000), the grey is from a good family and has been brought along steadily. A winner over hurdles at Uttoxeter in December, he was narrowly beaten next time by a decent mare. However, the six year old returned to winning ways with a comfortable victory at Southwell on Wednesday. Leading between the final couple of flights, he pulled clear on the run-in to score by three and a quarter lengths. Improving all the time, he is one to look forward to over fences next Autumn.
