It has been an excellent week for owner Max McNeill with Senior Citizen and The World's End scoring at Chepstow on Tuesday and the lightly raced Seddon made a striking impression on his hurdles debut at Stratford on Thursday. The Stowaway gelding won a bumper at Musselburgh in February before finishing twelfth in the Festival bumper at Cheltenham the following month. Despite racing keenly on his first start over obstacles, he readily swept past the penalised Not That Fuisse on the approach to the final flight before registering a four and a half lengths success. Admittedly, Tom George's charge was receiving ten pounds from the runner-up but it was still a very smooth display which bodes well for the winter ahead.
There were a couple of winners in One Jump Ahead with Shannon Hill (1/3) and Pauls Hill (5/1) scoring at Stratford and Sedgefield respectively. I am currently working on the first One Jump Ahead Update which concentrates on Cheltenham's three day meeting later this month. Priced at £6.00, please head to the Publications section if you haven't already ordered a copy.
