Imagine (10/11) supplied the Top 40 Prospects in OJA with its fourth winner from only five runners when gaining a hard fought win on his hurdles debut at Wexford on Monday. The Montmartre gelding had impressed when winning his bumper at Punchestown in February and was well supported on his hurdles bow. Jack Kennedy's mount jumped well but had to be kept up to his work after the last to fend off the late challenge of Spillane's Tower. While his victory may not have been as emphatic as hoped beforehand, there is a danger of underestimating the runner-up who shaped with plenty of promise on his debut at Cork last spring. Plus, the pair pulled eleven lengths clear of the 123 rated third Innatendue who was in receipt of seven pounds. Gordon Elliott suggested afterwards that the winner will be even better over further.
