Rich Ricci

One of the biggest and most loyal supporters of One Jump Ahead during the last ten years has been leading owner Rich Ricci. Responsible for the likes of the brilliant Vautour and top-class Min, Rich has always pointed readers in the right direction. Twelve months ago, his interview suggested the previously unknown Vauban was the 'most exciting horse we have bought off the Flat since Saldier.' The son of Galiway didn't disappoint winning three Grade 1 juvenile events, including the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. Plenty of clients were on the ex-French gelding at healthy ante-post prices.

The good news is that I am delighted to say the 2022/23 version of OJA will include a similar interview. I received the following text from Rich on Tuesday morning: "We have been very busy through the latter part of last season and in the 'off season' as we began our transition in earnest. We have our biggest team of novice hurdlers and bumper types that we have had in years and also bought a couple for the 2023/24 season. Fingers crossed we have a few really good ones." Exciting times.
