Unfortunately, the selection in the Lincoln Handicap at Doncaster on Saturday didn't run as well as we hoped. There were no excuses even though the ground was atrocious and he raced keenly early on. Having held every chance with a couple of furlongs to run, he kept on at the one pace and lacked a change of gear - if that is possible in heavy ground. We got the value but not the result.
Just a reminder that Ahead On The Flat is due to be published later this week and will be sent out as soon as possible. I am currently working on the Aintree Grand National Update, which is due to be published on Tuesday 11th April. Please head to the Publications section of the site to order a copy, if you haven't already done so, plus Ahead On The Flat and the Updates.
Once again, thank you very much to those clients who have already ordered their copies - the response to Ahead On The Flat has been superb and much appreciated. There are still some prestigious spring Festivals to take place over jumps but I think a lot of clients are looking forward to the new Flat season, especially when the ground dries out.
