End of season stats for One Jump Ahead

The curtain came down on the 2020/2021 National Hunt season at Sandown at the end of last month and the Punchestown Festival brought the Irish campaign to a conclusion on Saturday. It is therefore an appropriate time to post the end of season statistics for One Jump Ahead and the various sections.

The Top 40 Prospects - 55 winners from 145 runners (38%). There were 8 Grade 1 winners, namely Ballyadam, Bob Olinger, Chantry House (9/1), Envoi Allen, Galopin Des Champs (8/1), Shishkin, Sir Gerhard, Sporting John (14/1). There were 5 other Graded winners - Adrimel (Grade 2), Farouk D'Alene (Grade 2), Fury Road (Grade 2), Happygolucky (Grade 3), Zanahiyr (Grade 2). There were 5 Cheltenham Festival winners and 31 of the 40 horses won at least one race (3 of the horses didn't race at all last season). 

French Revolution - 30 winners from 118 runners (25%). They included 3 Grade 1 winners - Gaillard Du Mesnil, Monmiral & Quilixios. There were 3 Punchestown Festival winners - Capodanno, Gaillard Du Mesnil & Gauloise. 

Declan Phelan's Irish Pointers - 30 winners from 106 runners (28%). Featured was Cheltenham Festival Grade 1 winner Vanillier (14/1) and other Graded winners Star Gate (Grade 2) & Eklat De Rire (Grade 3). 

Thank you very much to all clients who purchased One Jump Ahead and the Updates last season - your continued support is greatly appreciated. I have already started on the 2021/2022 edition with some research - judging by the number of new recruits, especially from France, there is little chance of the Irish domination ending anytime soon.

Talking of statistics, I looked at the figures for the three Irish powerhouses at the Punchestown Festival last week. Willie Mullins was responsible for 19 winners from 87 runners, while Henry De Bromhead was 1 from 32 (Honeysuckle) and Denise Foster failed to register a winner from her 36 runners.  Those of messrs De Bromhead and Foster are not too dissimilar to the Top 40 Prospects in Ahead On The Flat at the moment.
