The Value Racing Club horses have been in terrific form in recent weeks - Cairn Gorm and Squeezebox provided the syndicate with a high profile double at York and Newmarket on the same evening late last month. Following three seconds in the same of as many days last week, their familiar colours were carried to victory twice at Market Rasen on Sunday. Rock On Harry set the ball rolling when gaining a much deserved win over timber in the second division of the maiden hurdle over two miles. Tom Lacey's gelding was always travelling well and had the race in safe keeping shortly after the second last. An eight and a half lengths winner, he is capable of adding to his tally in the coming weeks. Less than 40 minutes later, Guinness Affair made it three wins from four starts over fences making all and winning the two miles one handicap chase with the minimum of fuss. Trained by Jamie Snowden, the seven year old jumped proficiently and readily saunted clear to register a sixteen lengths win. Rated 119, the Fuisse gelding has won 6 of his 9 career starts and a tremendous advert for his upwardly mobile syndicate. Head to Valueracingclub.co.uk to get involved.
This week I will be conducting more interviews for One Jump Ahead and will keep readers informed on here. I have been to the printers with the front and back covers and the plan is to get the full details of OJA and the Updates on the Publications section of the site shortly.
