Kim Bailey and Anthony Honeyball have both been in terrific form during the Autumn and their respective stable interviews in the Talking Trainers section of One Jump Ahead have been hugely rewarding. The pair were at it again on Friday with the pair winning mares' bumpers at Warwick and Fontwell respectively with debutants. Flirtatious Girl (2/1) was always to the fore at the former track before staying on strongly to win by a length and a quarter. A four year old filly by Flemensfirth, she has plenty of size and scope and has time on her side at the age of four.
World of Dreams (11/4) is also a four year old and he was given a patient ride by Rex Dingle at the Sussex track. Travelling strongly, he led on the home turn and was always holding his rivals thereafter. A gelded son of Kayf Tara, it would be no surprise to see him kept to bumpers this season and looks well worth a crack at a Listed event. During the last fortnight, Honeyball has sent out 8 winners from 18 runners, while Bailey has trained 7 winners from 26 runners during the time scale.
I am working at Aintree on Saturday for Racing TV and it will be a good opportunity to catch up with some trainers re their running plans for Cheltenham's November meeting - I will pass on any thoughts I obtain in the November Update, which is due to be published next Thursday (12th).
