Joyeuse (11/4) is highlighted as a horse to follow in the French Revolution section of One Jump Ahead and Nicky Henderson's new recruit defied an absence of 450 days to win the two miles maiden hurdle at Taunton on Monday. The daughter of No Risk At All moved smoothly through the contest before getting the better of compatriot Tutti Quanti by half a length with over two lengths back to the third. The grey won a bumper in her native country and it will be a surprise if she isn't given an entry in the Grade 2 Mares' Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham in March. The runner-up is also featured in the French section and it won't be long before the four year old goes one better.
Congratulations to Value Racing Club who were amongst the winners over the weekend with Dibble Decker landing some tidy bets and nice prize-money at Wincanton on Saturday. The Tom Lacey trained runner was winning for the third time over fences from only seven starts and has proved another shrewd aquisition. A half length scorer, the eight year old is at his best when racing right-handed and has developed into a real moneyspinner.
