Bromley's Best Buys has been one of the most popular sections in One Jump Ahead over the years. Leading bloodstock agent Anthony Bromley has purchased the likes of Big Buck's, Kauto Star, Long Run and Master Minded in recent times and is the best in the business when it comes to acquiring equine talent over jumps. Racing manager for Simon Munir and Isaac Souede, too, he has once again penned a piece for the new edition of OJA - it is the 21st time Anthony has contributed to the book. Without wanting to give too much away, his new purchases include some terrific young horses from Ireland and France who are now residing with the likes of Nicky Henderson, Willie Mullins, Paul Nicholls and Dan Skelton amongst others. The article is a tremendous addition.
Scottish handler Jim Goldie has trained 23 winners during 2021 and eleven of those victories have been partnered by Paul Mulrennan. The same combination were in action at Ayr on Monday and the lightly raced Castle View caught the eye in the ten furlongs handicap. Admittedly, it was a low grade affair but the son of Casamento is capable of winning a small race or two on this evidence. Third over the same course and distance last month, he wasn't suited by the drop back to nine furlongs at Hamilton last time. However, he spotted staying on well here under tender handling. With a rating of 45, he is hardly a horse to get excited about but it will be a surprise if Goldie can't place him to win somewhere. Tried twice over hurdles earlier in his career, his dam was placed over a mile and a half and there is every possibility Castle View will stay such distances, too.
