I was away on Sunday so I am still catching up with all the racing on either side of the Irish Sea. However, it was another profitable day for One Jump Ahead with four winners at Huntingdon. Brewin'Upastorm (5/6) provided the Top 40 Prospects with another winner in the two miles novices' hurdle. Olly Murphy's former Irish pointer had been held up during the Autumn with a setback but he recorded a smooth victory under Richard Johnson. The Milan gelding led at the second last and proved far too classy for the 124 rated runner-up Brecon Hill, who faced an impossible task attempting to concede six pounds to the winner. One would expect Brewin'Upastorm to run in another ordinary novice under a penalty before stepping up in class. Gordon Elliott's former assistant has a strong team of novice hurdlers, including Itchy Feet and Thomas Darby, but this five year old may prove the pick of the crop. The other winners on the card featured in the Talking Trainers section of OJA were Bags Groove (6/4), William H Bonney (7/2) and Charbel (13/8), who was an eight lengths winner of the Grade 2 Peterborough Chase.
I am working on the Christmas Special this week - it will include previews of all the top races over the Festive period, including the King George and Welsh National. Please go to the Publications section of the site to order a copy - it is only £6.00.
