Festival Update being sent out tomorrow

Just to remind clients I am sending the One Jump Ahead Update for the Cheltenham Festival out tomorrow evening. There is still time to order a copy, but please do so before Monday lunchtime because I am heading down to Cheltenham soon afterwards. The price is £10. In addition to full analysis of the majority of all 28 races, there is an eight page article by Declan Phelan and his Irish Angle, a stable interview with Harry Fry, a selection from Rich Ricci, Graham Wylie, Olly Murphy (Gordon Elliott's assistant) and Denis O'Regan. There is also a report from the Million In Mind Open day at Paul Nicholls' yard last weekend and the champion trainer's thoughts on his best chances next week. I have also passed on comments from the Festival previews I have attended during the last few days. The Update is over 40 pages and packed with information. I am leaving it as late as possible to send the Update out because only today the likes of Finian's Oscar, The Storyteller and Zabana have been ruled out of the meeting.

Talking of the preview nights, I had a couple of really enjoyable evenings at Doncaster and Hamilton on Thursday and Friday respectively (over 200 people are both events). I was on a panel with Ed Chamberlin, Ben Pauling and Adrian Heskin at the former and then Paul Carberry, James Griffin, Ian Robinson and Gordon Brown at the latter. It was a pleasure and an experience to be on the same panel as one of my racing heroes Paul Carberry. I don't think I have seen anything like it - it was some night and one I will never forget.
