The French Revolution section in OJA had another winner with Traprain Law registering his third success of the campaign. The grey who is owned by Ray Green won twice at Kelso earlier in the campaign and he produced another gutsy display in the two miles handcap hurdle at Ayr on Saturday. Racing off a mark of 114, his jumping is his biggest asset plus he has a terrific attitude. The Martaline gelding should make a decent chaser next term. Inneston nearly provided the feature with an across the card double but was headed on the run-in in the EBF Final at Sandown. Gary Moore's youngster was only beaten half a length and is improving with each outing over timber.
Abbeydale (11/2) was highlighted in the Unraced Bumper horses section and he got his head in front in the two miles maiden hurdle. The drop back in trip appeared to suit Gordon Elliott's charge who had been narrowly denied at Wexford in the Autumn.
