Another terrific day for Ahead On The Flat

I intend updating the Diary properly on Sunday because I am working at Chester tomorrow and Haydock on Saturday. However, it was another very good day for followers of Ahead On The Flat with Khairaat (10/11) making a mockery of a mark of 91 on his handicap debut at Chester and Venice Beach (5/2) won the Chester Vase. With a bit of luck in running, Poet's Word would have made it a memorable day in the Huxley Stakes. Sir Michael Stoute's progressive four year old was forced to race wide on the home turn and that cost him victory. There are a number of runners in the Top 40 over the next couple of days - fingers crossed for more of the same. Enjoy the weekend.
