In the Autumn, it was hoped Bo Zenith would win the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. Unfortunately, that won't be the case but Gary Moore's ex-French gelding is a winner during Festival week having taken the juvenile hurdle at Stratford on Monday. The Zarak gelding, who won at Auteuil last spring, had proved disappointing on his UK debut at Sandown in January but has improved since. A comfortable winner at Haydock last month, he made all here and pulled away in the homestraight to register a fifteen lengths win. Time will tell how good he proves to be but Bo Zenith looks a stayer who will want at least two and a half miles next season. If he goes to Aintree next month, it would be tempting to take on the older novices over two and a half miles and receive an age allowance. He is another winner for the Top 40 Prospects who have enjoyed a purple patch with 7 winners from their last 8 runners.
The Cheltenham Festival is set to get underway in less than 24 hours but there is still time to order a copy of the One Jump Ahead Cheltenham Festival Update, which is priced at £10.00. The 42 page Update includes an interview with multiple champion trainer Paul Nicholls who talks about his stable stars heading to Prestbury Park this week, including Gold Cup bound Bravemansgame. Rich Ricci and Anthony Bromley offer the horses they are most looking forward to and Irish expert Declan Phelan passes on his opinions for the week. Please head to the Publications section of the site to order your copy, if you haven't already done so.
