York Ebor Update

Just a reminder to clients that the York Ebor Festival Update will be emailed to subscribers on Monday evening (16th August) - I want to see Saturday's entries which aren't published until Monday afternoon. There is still time to order a copy - the Update is £6.00 and can be purchased via the Publications section of the site. William Haggas has kindly sent me a list of his runners over the four days on the Knavesmire next week. These include a strong hand in the Sky Bet Ebor itself.

It promises to be a busy but enjoyable week starting with the Sky Bet preview night at York racecourse on Tuesday evening. With the exception of last year for obvious reasons, it has become a regular event and is always an excellent evening. The panel will consist of Richard Fahey, Kevin Ryan, Ed Chamberlin, Dave Ord and Michael Shinners, plus a high profile jockey (TBC). Tickets are still available via sportinglife.com.

Then, on Wednesday I am heading to Carlisle for Racing TV before going back to York on Friday. It promises to be a fantastic week but the race I am most looking forward to is the Nunthorpe Stakes on Friday. With the likes of Que Amoro, Winter Power and the US three year old Golden Pal going like the clappers from the outset, it will be fast and furious. Will it play into the hands of a hold up horse?
