Following an enjoyable trip to Hamilton Park on Thursday - my second in a fortnight - for Racing TV, I spent much of Friday interviewing Alan King and Anthony Honeyball for One Jump Ahead.
In addition to his team of jumpers, Alan kindly passed on his views regarding his runners at next week's York Ebor Festival. His thoughts will be included in the York Ebor Update, which will be emailed to clients next TUESDAY (18th August) - it is a day later than planned but I want to study Saturday's entries, which are not published until Monday afternoon. The head of Barbury Castle is sending a small but select team to the Knavesmire, including two runners in the Skybet Ebor itself.
Anthony Honeyball, who is based near Beaminster in Dorset, enjoyed a personal best season last winter with 36 winners and has put together a decent team of youngsters, plus established performers Regal Encore and Sam Brown. The former jump jockey has a particularly good record with his bumper horses and the interview contains a number of promising unraced young horses.
There is still time to order a copy of the York Ebor Update - please head to the Publications section of the site. The Update is £6.00.
