Apologies for not updating the Diary for sometime but, as you will be aware, the site has been revamped during the last few days. The new edition of One Jump Ahead is due to be published on Friday and all orders will be sent out immediately. Thank you to those clients who have already ordered - the response has been superb. It is possible to order OJA, the Updates and 3 monthly email service via the Publications section of the site.
It is also possible to order a copy of the Autumn Update, which is due to be published at the end of next week in time for Newmarket's Cambridgeshire meeting. The price is £6.00 and it includes full analysis of races such as the Cambridgeshire, Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe etc.
The Top 40 Prospects in Ahead On The Flat have enjoyed a decent run and So Mi Dar extended her unbeaten record in the Listed John Musker Stakes at Yarmouth. John Gosden's filly was an impressive winner of the Musidora Stakes at York and was a leading contender for the Epsom Oaks. Unfortunately, she met with a setback only days before the fillies' Classic and hadn't raced since. Despite only scoring by half a length at the East Anglian track, Frankie Dettori's mount won with something in hand. She travelled strongly before unleashing her potent turn of speed. She is a class act who would surely have given Minding plenty to think about at Epsom in June. Either way, she is a hugely exciting filly and it will take something special to beat her wherever she heads next.
I am working at Ayr on Saturday, where the ground looks sure to be on the soft side (heavy rain forecast on Saturday). Richard Fahey invariably sends a strong team to the three day fixture and I suggest looking out for his debutant Re Run in the opening contest on Friday. A colt by Harbour Watch, he is poorly drawn but is reportedly above average and is expected to go well.
