Stable Interview with Evan Williams

Nicky Richards had a successful afternoon at Ayr on Monday with the Greystoke handler sending out a treble. The highlight was the victory of Marown in the two and a half miles novices' chase. The six year old wasn't at his best on his chasing debut over two miles at the same track last month finishing third. However, he improved considerably on that effort with a comfortable four lengths win. Brian Hughes' mount jumped well and appeared to be in control from the fourth last onwards. Three miles won't be a problem in due course but he possesses enough speed for the intermediate trip for the time being. Featured in the Top 40 Prospects, he is a young horse with a bright future.
