I have only just arrived back from Royal Ascot and will write a full account of the meeting over the weekend but it has proved to be a satisfactory first few days (especially considering the fixture has been run on soft ground) for Update subscribers with 6 winners on the board and three big priced placed selections. The week would have been looking even healthier if either Librisa Breeze or Mitchum Swagger had won the Royal Hunt Cup yesterday. The pair ran terrific races in the one mile cavalry charge but high draws ultimately cost them victory. Ironically, the winner Portage was my selection for Saturday’s Wolferton Stakes. You can’t win them all. Good luck over the remaining couple of days and fingers crossed for a few more winners.
