Missed Tee, featured in Declan Phelan's Irish Pointers article in OJA, produced a gutsy display to win the novices' handicap hurdle at Hereford on Monday. The daughter of Fame And Glory won over two miles at Uttoxeter early last month and was allocated a tempting looking mark of 109 as a result. Stepping up in trip, she was given a positive ride by Harry Skelton and appeared to be in command before the third last. However, she was persistently challenged thereafter and headed before the final flight. Regaining the advantage close home, Dan Skelton's mare beating Leading Theatre by three parts of a length with a further nine lengths back to the third. The handicapper can't be too hard on the six year old who ought to stay further still.
I am currently working on the February Update which will be emailed to clients at the beginning of next month. I have nominated a few horses to look out for in the handicaps at the Cheltenham Festival, plus the usual features, including a detailed preview of the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury. If you haven't already ordered, please go to the Publications section of the site.
