Interview with Tim Easterby

With racing to be staged behind closed doors in the UK starting on Tuesday, it remains to be seen how long that will continue to be the case. However, I am continuing to write Ahead On The Flat with the intention of it being published in early April. With that in mind, I interviewed Tim Easterby on Monday. Based at Great Habton near Malton, Tim trained a career best 126 winners in 2019 and has a huge string for the new campaign. In addition to his three year olds and older horses, he passed on news of a juvenile which is exciting him. This time last year, Tim told me that Lampang was his best two year old in 2019 and he is rarely wrong with his predictions.
