Enshrine provided the Top 40 Prospects with another winner at Windsor on Monday evening. Sent off at prohibitive odds, the daughter of Ulysses made heavy weather of landing the fillies' maiden with Tom Marquand's mount being forced to dig deep to get the better of the twice raced Sweet Fantasy inside the final furlong. A promising second on her debut at Newmarket's Craven meeting, it will be interesting to see what rating she is allocated.
The Top 40 has one runner on Wednesday and I will be disappointed if she doesn't go close - please see page 21.
Value Racing Club were amongst the winners again on Tuesday evening with Awesomedude collecting the opening maiden hurdle at Huntingdon. Absent for 343 days, the six year old took charge in the homestraight and, on this evidence, should be able to follow up. Racing manager James Couldwell is busy at the Doncaster Spring Sales this week looking to acquire more stock for the syndicate.
