William Haggas has enjoyed plenty of success at York's Ebor Festival in recent seasons and, once again, the Newmarket trainer has kindly sent me a list of his likely runners at next week's four day meeting. These are a big help when writing my Update, which will be emailed to clients late on Monday evening. In addition to full analysis of the week's events on the Knavesmire, I have included a number of extra horses to follow for the remainder of the season - I have attempted to pick some juveniles who will be of interest once heading down the nursery route in the remaining weeks and months of the season, plus some highly regarded unraced two year olds which have reportedly been showing plenty at home.

I am working at Pontefract on Sunday and hope to pick up some last minute information which will be included in the Update. Please head to the Publications section of the site if you wish to order a copy, if you haven't already done so.

I am also working at York next week for a couple of days. Before then, I am on the panel for the Skybet Preview night at the racecourse on Tuesday evening. I have been fortunate enough to attend for the last few years and it is always an enjoyable evening. Tickets are still available - local trainers David O'Meara and Richard Fahey are also on the panel.

Whitlock (5/2), who is featured in the Maidens In Waiting section of Ahead On The Flat followed up his win at Windsor by taking the ten furlongs handicap at Newmarket on Friday evening. Racing off a six pounds higher mark, the son of Dutch Art held on by a short head. He was one of four winners on the night for Robert Havlin.

Switching codes, I have now completed 11 stable interviews for One Jump Ahead. I spoke to Alan King earlier this week and ran through over 70 of his inmates at Barbury Castle. Alan has sent out a personal best 26 winners on the Flat this year and therefore, not surprisingly, he is likely to have a strong team of juvenile hurdlers for this winter.
