Just a reminder to clients to say the York Ebor Update will be emailed on Monday evening after I have seen the final day entries. There is still time to order a copy, which is £6.00. In addition to full analysis of the four days action on the Knavesmire, I have highlighted 14 UNRACED TWO YEAR OLDS to watch out for in the coming weeks. There are other horses to follow, too.

I was pleased to see Rhythmic Intent (4/1) finally get his head in front at Newbury. Featured in the Maidens In Waiting section of AOTF, Stuart Williams' gelding had been narrowly denied at Sandown earlier in the year and, withe exception of one run, had been performing consistently all year. Stepping up to a mile and a half for the first time, he powered away to win by four lengths under James Doyle. The Mallard Handicap at Doncaster (13th September) next month has been touted as a possible target, although he won't be over raced this term with a view at a tilt at the Skybet Ebor next year, according to his trainer. He is one to follow.

I have also been working on One Jump Ahead this week and I interviewed leading owner Jared Sullivan on Thursday evening. Jared tasted Cheltenham Festival glory last March with Duc Des Genievres (Arkle Trophy) and Eglantine Du Seuil (mares' novice hurdle) and he has strengthened his already strong team with a number of new recruits from France during the spring/summer. The interview is sure to be of interest and informative for readers. Jared has his string with Willie Mullins, Nicky Henderson and Olly Murphy.

I am also delighted to say Anthony Bromley has penned his annual piece with any number of exciting recruits from France and the Irish pointing scene re Bromley's Best Buys. There appear to be some terrific prospects amongst the article.

I am working at Pontefract on Sunday so will be finishing the York Update on Monday before sending out the same evening. Please head to the Publications section of the site, if you haven't already ordered a copy.
