The French Revolution feature on pages 124-130 of One Jump Ahead has been slow to engage top gear this season but things took a turn for the better in no uncertains terms at Naas on Tuesday. Embrun Mitja (14/1) won on his first start for Henry De Bromhead in the opening two miles three maiden hurdle, while stablemate A Plus Tard (4/1) confirmed the promise he had shown at Gowran Park on his Irish debut when taking the beginners chase over an hour later. The pair, who are owned by Gigginstown House Stud and Cheveley Park Stud respectively, looked above average and it will be a surprise if they don't add to their tally during the second half of the campaign. Both horses were ridden by Rachel Blackmore and I was particularly impressed with her ride aboard Embrun Mitja as she comprehensively outrode Paul Townend before the second last.
