It has been a quiet week for jumping fans with jack frost wreaking havoc on the programme. Ascot's prestigious meeting featuring the Clarence House Chase went by the wayside on Thursday, while Haydock's Peter Marsh Chase fixture will be determined by an early morning inspection on Saturday. Fingers crossed the cards at Navan and Thurles over the weekend get the go ahead.
It has given me the opportunity to carry on working on the February Update, which is due to be published on Wednesday week (1st February). There is news of some exciting youngsters courtesy of champion trainer Paul Nicholls, plus a detailed look at the forthcoming Cheltenham Festival with an emphasis on some of the handicaps. The weights for the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury were revealed earlier this week and I shall also be concentrating on this in the Update. Please head to the Publications section of the site to order a copy, if you haven't already done so. The February Update is £8.00.
