Bromley's Best Buys in One Jump Ahead and the November Update was in fantastic form at Newbury this afternoon with Mr Whipped (7/1), Pacific De Baune (7/1) and Style De Garde (5/4) all winning for Nicky Henderson. All three were impressive scoring by aggregate of eighteen lengths.
Mr Whipped was bought for £160,000 having won his only Irish point-to-point and, while he wasn't overly impressive when winning on his hurdles debut at Kempton, he benefited from the step up to two and a half miles at the Berkshire track today. A gelded son of Beneficial, he stayed on strongly after the last and may be even better over three miles. In fact, he could bid to emulate the same owners/trainers Constantine Bay in the Grade 2 River Don Novices' Hurdle at Doncaster in late January. Longer-term, he looks a likely candidate for the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle.
There is still time to order a copy of the Christmas Special which will be sent out either tomorrow or Friday - I am waiting for the Christmas entries. The cost is £6.00.
