I will update the Diary properly in due course - I am continuing to work on the Christmas Special, which will be emailed to clients on Sunday pm, plus I am doing my prep for Haydock tomorrow.
However, it was another terrific day for One Jump Ahead with Top 40 entry Angels Breath (6/4) producing a stunning display on his Rules debut in the Grade 2 Kennel Gate Novices' Hurdle at Ascot. Nicky Henderson's former Irish pointer looks out of the top drawer and could prove the best of a strong team of novice hurdlers at Seven Barrows this season.
He may have been a prohibitive price but I hope plenty of readers got stuck into King Roland in the concluding bumper at Uttoxeter. His former trainer Tom Lacey said the ex-English pointer was 'exceptional' on page 84 of OJA and he wasn't lying as the Stowaway gelding annihilating his rivals by upwards of 22 lengths. Only four, he has a big future and Harry Fry has another very smart horse on his hands.
In total there were 7 winners in One Jump Ahead on Friday with Angels Breath (6/4), Ask Dillon (12/1), Azzerti (11/4), Captain Drake (13/8), Eden Du Houx (8/1), King Roland (8/11) and Vinndication (8/13) all scoring.
