As I See It defied a lay off of 552 days to win the two miles seven handicap hurdle at Exeter on Tuesday. Harry Fry's seven year old shouldered 11st 12lb with an official rating of 125 and, having made good headway with half a mile to run, he stayed on well after the last to win by half a length under Sean Bowen. The original plan was to send the King's Theatre gelding over fences but his trainer indicated afterwards that As I See It is likely to stay over timber for the time being.
There promises to be some tremendous jumping action during the next few days with Worcester and Carlisle staging attractive looking cards, whilst Cheltenham's Showcase meeting takes place on Friday and Saturday. Then, twenty hours later, Aintree hosts the Grade 2 Old Roan Chase. If you haven't ordered a copy of One Jump Ahead - another 14/1 winner on Tuesday - please go to the Publications section of the site. OJA is only £10.99 and it is £40.99 for OJA and the 5 Updates.
