Aside from a trip to Carlisle on Monday, I have spent most of this week working on the forthcoming edition of Ahead On The Flat. Yesterday, I travelled to the outskirts of York to the yard of David O'Meara to get the rundown on his powerful string for 2018. On Wednesday I spoke to rising star Iain Jardine about his team for the new season and this morning I interviewed another Scottish based handler Keith Dalgleish. All three interviews should be excellent additions to AOTF. Next week, I am hoping to complete the Talking Trainers section with two more interviews.
The jump racing hasn't been of the highest standard during the week and one wonders how much action we will get next week with the 'Beast from the East' set to dominate the UK with widespread frosts and a strong possibility of substantial amounts of snow. Finally, how on earth did Top 40 entry Sangha River get beaten at Lingfield on Monday?
