For those clients who have already ordered and received their copy of One Jump Ahead, please note the horse featured on page 34 is trained by Nicky Henderson and not as stated. Apologies for any inconvenience. Either way, the horse in question is a very exciting prospect for the winter ahead.
Talking of the champion trainer, the head of Seven Barrows held his owner's open day on Sunday and there is a detailed account of proceedings in today's Racing Post. Henderson is blessed with a fantastic team of horses and it is impossible to see him dethroned this season. The majority of the stable's new recruits from France and Ireland are mentioned in the RP but to get some more detail on many of them, please head to the Publications section of the site - Declan Phelan has included a number of his ex-Irish pointers, while there are 7 horses trained by Henderson in the Top 40 Prospects - 6 of them have yet to run for him.
Just a reminder the Autumn Update is being emailed to clients on Thursday (27th) - the cost is £6.00. There is a full preview of the Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe, Cambridgeshire, Royal Lodge, Middle Park Stakes and Cesarewitch, plus some unraced two year olds to watch out for during the final weeks of the season. Withhold was advised at 20/1 for the Cesarewitch twelve months ago and Roger Charlton's gelding duly bolted up landing a huge gamble in the process.
Talking of unraced two year olds, the York Ebor Update highlighted Court Poet (5/4), Fashion's Star (3/1), Kadar (5/2) and Prince Eiji (4/1), plus Repaupo (8/1) who was beaten a head, before they had stepped foot on a racecourse. Fingers crossed for more of the same in the Autumn Update.
