Deneuve (13/8) another winner for AOTF

The Ballydoyle Juveniles section in Ahead On The Flat has started the season like a house on fire with Aesop's Fables (7/4), Blackbeard (15/8), Meditate (9/4) and The Antarctic (6/4) and scoring at the first time of asking. Deneuve (13/8) also made a winning start to her career at Naas on Monday. A filly by No Nay Never, Aidan O'Brien's runner moved well throughout but Ryan Moore had to get serious on his mount in the closing stages as he prevailed by a short head in the six furlongs fillies' maiden. Her dam Actress finished runner-up behind the top-class Alpha Centauri in the same event in 2017 before finishing sixth in the Group 3 Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot. It would be no surprise to see this filly follow a similar route.  

Tim Easterby's horses are hitting form with Ava Go Joe and Boardman winning at Ripon and Haydock respectively on Saturday. Lampang (3/1) made a winning start to his five year old career with a cosy one and a quarter lengths victory at Ayr on Monday. Gelded since last term, the son of Dandy Man won at Hamilton in June but his form tailed off thereafter. Dropped to a mark of 97, he readily saw off Black Friday and looks set to for a productive campaign.
