Battle of Wills (100/30), who was highlighted as a horse to follow in the November Update, won on his first start for Gordon Elliott in the opener at Naas on Sunday. Purchased out of James Tate's yard for 52,000gns in the Autumn, the Lawman gelding had been gelded since and make a winning start to his jumping career. A half lengths winner under Davy Russell, he jumped well and won with something in hand with the pair fourteen lengths clear of the third. He looks another good addition to the triple Grand National winning trainer's string.
Don't forget, the February Update is being emailed to clients on Friday (31st January). If you haven't already ordered a copy, please head to the Publications section of the site. The Update is £6.00 and will include comments on all six horses in the Top 40 Prospects who raced on Saturday.
