Swindler sold

There was more bad news for followers of York Ebor Update when it was announced on Tuesday that one of my Ayr Gold Cup fancies Swindler has been sold. Fourth in the Stewards' Cup at Goodwood last time, Ed Walker's gelding looked tailormade for the six furlongs event but was sold for 150,000gns at Tattersalls in Newmarket and is heading to Bahrain. Twenty four hours later, another Top 40 Prospects entry Celestran went under the hammer for 85,000gns. The John Gosden trained three year old won at Yarmouth in June but hadn't looked the most genuine since. I think his new connections will do well to make money out of their new investment.
