Harry Derham featured in the February Update and Paul Nicholls' former assistant was amongst the winners on Saturday with an across the card double at Kelso and Newbury. Mojo Ego (5/2) was highlighted in the French Revolution section of One Jump Ahead and he recorded his second win since arriving in the UK in the juvenile hurdle at the Borders track. The Intello gelding was given a break after his below par effort at Taunton last time but bounced back with an authoritative display under Daryl Jacob. A four and a quarter lengths scorer, he has been well placed by his rookie handler.
Jasmine Bliss (7/4) defied a penalty in the concluding bumper at Newbury staying on strongly to beat Geturguccion by a neck with the pair clear of the rest. The former Irish point winner was purchased for £50,000 in May and, having been well held on his Rules debut, the Blue Bresil mare has benefited from a change of tactics racing prominently both at Wetherby last month and on his occasion. She is tough and ought to make her mark in staying mares' novice hurdles next term.
