Once again, many thanks to those clients who have pre ordered a copy of the new edition of One Jump Ahead, it is much appreciated. They have been streaming in over the weekend. I have now completed all the interviews and typed those up - there are 13 stable interviews, namely Harry Derham, Tom Lacey, Donald McCain, Gary & Josh Moore, Olly Murphy, Paul Nicholls, Fergal O'Brien, Jonjo & A.J.O'Neill, Ben Pauling, Nicky Richards, Lucinda Russell, Dan Skelton and Jamie Snowden.
In addition, there is an interview with Rich Ricci and has his formidable team of horses including Cheltenham Festival winners Gaelic Warrior and Lossiemouth. Triple French champion jockey James Reveley has once again assisted with the French Revolution section - he either rode or rode agains a number of those horses featured.
14 times champion trainer Paul Nicholls has highlighted unraced bumper horses he is particularly looking forward to seeing run this Autumn / winter. Last year's featured the unbeaten Regent's Stroll. Joseph O'Brien kindly sent me a voice message on Sunday regarding which of his three year olds will be going juvenile hurdling this season - the dual Melbourne Cup winning trainer was responsible for Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle winner Lark In The Mornin in OJA last term.
The plan at the moment is to take the book to the printers in a fortnights time - the week beginning Monday 16th September. I will keep clients informed via the Diary.
Below are a few quotes from the Talking Trainers section of the 2024/2025 edition:
"It would be nice to think he will develop into a major contender for the Triumph Hurdle." RICH RICCI
"The apple of my eye and a horse I think is well above average." HARRY DERHAM
"A very nice three year old, I love him. The dream will be to aim at the Listed 4yo bumper at Cheltenham on New Year's Day." TOM LACEY
"He is a beautiful horse who measures 16.3hh and is built like a bull." GARY MOORE
"A very nice horse to look forward to in bumpers this season." OLLY MURPHY
"Bought privately, he is a lovely prospect who will have a run in a bumper." PAUL NICHOLLS
"One of the most naturally talented horses in the yard, he has loads of speed and could be one of our nicest novice hurdlers this season." BEN PAULING
"She is a lovely filly and I really like her. We have the option of running her in junior bumpers." DAN SKELTON
