There were a couple of winners in the Talking Trainers section of One Jump Ahead at Plumpton on Monday. They include Jackstell who made it three out of three this season for Value Racing Club and Jamie Snowden. Successful at Warwick and Hereford last month, the No Risk At All gelding was returning to two and a half miles in the concluding handicap hurdle and it proved no obstacle. Only raised a pound for his previous win on his handicap debut, Gavin Sheehan's mount made good headway down the hill on the far side. His biggest fear in the homestraight was the loose horse but the ex-pointer was soon in the clear and not hard pressed to score by nearly four lengths. Placed in Irish points for Denis Murphy, he won a bumper at Tipperary for Emmet Mullins last year before being purchased by VRC. The six year old has raced seven times for the syndicate producing form figures of 2323111. He has been a model of consistency and another tremendous advert for Value Racing Club. Racing manager James Couldwell was busy acquiring fresh talent at the Newmarket Horses in Training Sale last week - head to their website to see what shares are available.
Talking of the Newmarket Horses in Training Sale, I have included an article on the principal purchases for the week's trading in the November Update, which will be emailed to clients on Thursday week (13th November). The Update also includes full analysis of the Cheltenham Paddy Power meeting, plus news on the featured horses in One Jump Ahead. I am also hoping to arrange a stable interview with a trainer who is well represented at the three day fixture. News of that will be included in the Diary over the next few days.
If you haven't already done so, please head to the Publications section of the site to order the November Update, plus the other four Updates. All 5 Updates are priced at £63.00.
