It has been a busy few days working at Carlisle and Hamilton earlier this week and a trip to Haydock Park is in the offing on Friday. Thank you once again to those clients who have been purchasing the new edition of One Jump Ahead and the Updates, your continued support is very much appreciated.
Hot Flame (3/1) provided the Top 40 Prospects in Ahead On The Flat with another winner at Haydock Park on Thursday. The John & Thady Gosden trained filly had been absent for 298 days prior to finishing runner-up on her belated reappearance under a penalty at Newmarket at the start of last month. With that run under her belt, the Too Darn Hot filly headed down the handicap route for the first time off a mark of 89. Given a fine front running ride by Robert Havlin, the Anthony Oppenheimer owned runner dictated from the outset and quickened away inside the final furlong and a half. A two lengths winner, she is bred to stay further than ten furlongs and prefers some ease underfoot accordingly to her jockey. According to the Race Iq data, the Gosden runner hit a top speed of 39.58mph during the ninth furlong covering the eighth and ninth furlongs in 11.80 and 11.45 seconds. Black type looks a realistic proposition and she is one to watch out for in a Listed / Group 3 over ten or twelve furlongs this Autumn. She is a nice filly who could make an even better four year old.
