Interview with Nicky Richards

It is always a pleasure to visit Nicky Richards in the beautiful village of Greystoke just outside Penrith in Cumbria. On Wednesday afternoon, I made my annual trip and spent nearly an hour and a half running through the stable's horses, plus having a trip down memory lane talking about some of the old days. Nicky is excellent company and very honest about his string regarding his hopes and expectations for the winter ahead. It is fair to say there are some cracking young prospects with plenty to look forward to. Then to round off a very enjoyable afternoon, I nipped into the Boot & Shoe - the local pub in the middle of the village - for a swift half. I would thoroughly recommend a visit - to both the village and the pub. It was like Britain used to be.
