Venetia Williams enjoyed an excellent afternoon on Friday with an across the card treble with Laskalin providng the Herefordshire based handler with another National win - the North Wales version at Bangor. Compatriot Epinephrine (11/1), who is included in the French Revolution section of One Jump Ahead, scored on her handicap debut in a mares only event at Kempton earlier in the day. The daughter of No Risk At All, who was placed over hurdles at Auteuil when trained by Davide Satalia, had shaped with promise on her two previous starts for her current yard and was allocated a mark of 109 as a result. Stretching away after the second last, the five year old looked ahead of the handicapper winning with any amount in hand. A big scopey mare who will jump fences eventually, is capable of adding to her tally in the coming weeks.
The Top 40 entry (page 21 of OJA) was a late withdrawal at Kempton on Friday due to unsuitable ground - he got bogged down in such conditions on his previous start. Unfortunately, his stablemate on page 36 has also been declared a non runner on Saturday. Found to be sore, hopefully there isn't any long-term damage.
