With the curtain coming down on the National Hunt season in Ireland last Saturday and the UK a week earlier, it seems a good opportunity to publish the final statistics for the featured horses in One Jump Ahead 2023/2024.

The Top 40 Prospects produced seven individual Grade 1 winners - Ballyburn (3 times), Captain Teague, Grey Dawning, Il Est Francais, Jade De Grugy, Majborough and Sir Gino - three Cheltenham Festival winners, namely Ballyburn, Grey Dawning and Majborough, and five Grade 2 winners (Favour And Fortune, Gidleigh Park, Kala Conti, Mirazur West and Stay Away Fay). 29 of the Top 40 won at least one race, while three of the horses were absent for the whole campaign.
Declan Phelan's Irish Pointers included the first three home in the Grade 1 Cheltenham Festival bumper - Jasmin De Vaux, Romeo Coolio and Jalon D'Oudairies - and other Pattern race winners included Jeriko Du Reponet, Shanagh Bob, The Enabler and Tullyhill.
