Stable interviews with Tom Lacey & Fergal O'Brien

It has been a busy start to the week working at Ladies night at Carlisle on Monday evening and during the last couple of days, I have interviewed Tom Lacey and Fergal O'Brien. The latter had another solid campaign with 37 domestic winners and was responsible for successes at Aintree and Punchestown in the spring. Tom's team has been added to with some interesting prospects from the English and Irish pointing fields. 

Fergal O'Brien hasn't featured in the Talking Trainers section of OJA for a number of years but it is great to get him back on board. Nigel Twiston-Davies' former assistant has reached three figures for the last four season, including 107 winners during 2023/2024. The stable's strength appears to be amongst the youngsters with some exciting novice hurdle prospects, plus some very highly regarded unraced bumpers horses - there are two in particular which Fergal is keen on and I am toying with the idea of putting them in the Top 40.
