3 more stable interviews

I have now completed 9 interviews for the new edition of One Jump Ahead. During the last 24 hours, I have spoken to Josh Guerriero, Ben Pauling and Nicky Richards. I was fortunate enough to visit the last named at his stable in Greystoke just outside Penrith in Cumbria on Thursday afternoon. Nicky is particularly strong in the novice hurdle and bumper department with some lovely young horses.

Josh Guerriero, along with Olly Greenall, have made a big splash in the training department during the last few years sending out a couple of Cheltenham Festival winners. The Cheshire based operation have sent out 62, 57 and 58 winners during the last three seasons and those figures look set to be surpassed this winter with the arrival of some exciting new recruits from Ireland. 

Similarly, Ben Pauling had another terrific campaign with 66 winners and total prize-money exceeding £1 million. Nicky Henderson's former assistant was responsible for two Grade 1 winners last term and is understandably excited about the season ahead. Stable star and unbeaten chaser The Jukebox Man is back and Ben has some ambitious plans for the Harry Redknapp owned gelding.
