Exciting juvenile hurdlers

With no racing in the UK on Wednesday, it has been a good opportunity to continue to work on One Jump Ahead. It has become evident that a number of decent Flat horses will be going jumping for the first time this Autumn. Last year's Changing Codes section in OJA featured Graded winners Blue Lemons (2 wins), East India Dock (3), Mr Percy (16/1), Naturally Nimble (33/1) and the Fred Winter Juvenile Hurdle winner Puturhandstogether (17/2). Expect more of the same this time around - James Owen, who has done particularly well with his three year old hurdlers contacted me on Tuesday and has given me a rundown on his new crop of juvenile hurdlers. It is fair to say there are some exciting ones amongst them. There have been some high profile purchases from France, too, plus one leading jockey has told me about a highly rated Flat racer who is set to go jumping - he described him as a Triumph Hurdle prospect.
