"He could be top class" - James Reveley

On Tuesday, I spent the morning at the printers adding page numbers and correcting any errors. One Jump Ahead is now complete and ready for printing. According to the printer, it should be ready for despatch towards the end of next week. Once I have a more definite date, I will advise in the Diary.

For the first time in 34 years, the Top 40 Prospects has been expanded to the Top 45 due to the fact I didn't want to leave out an extra five horses I have written about. Once again, there is a strong emphasis on young unexposed horses - many of which have yet to either run in Ireland or the UK or under Rules. These include some exciting recruits from France - one of which three times champion jockey James Reveley, who rode against him, said: "He could be top-class."

It is time to start work on the Autumn Update, which will be emailed to clients on Thursday week (24th September). Anthony Bromley, who has been a tremendous supporter of One Jump Ahead and, more recently, Ahead On The Flat, was on the mark once again on Tuesday. In his Bromley's Best Buys article on page 122 of AOTF, he wrote: "One who excites us is Bad Dreams, who was our highest priced purchase of £180,000." The Showcasing colt duly won by a length and a quarter on his debut in a six furlongs novice stakes at Yarmouth at 3/1.

Anthony has also passed on news regarding the Double Green horses - Simon Munir & Isaac Souede - which are featured in One Jump Ahead. They include three French horses who have moved to high profile Irish yards and are considered exciting prospects for the winter ahead. The Newmarket based bloodstock agent also told me about a three year old who made their debut at Auteuil on Saturday - the horse in question has been subsequently sold to an Irish stable and is considered a smart prospect for juvenile hurdles.
